Coordinator for Co-Production and Engagement

Hi, my name is Tracy and I work in the Public Health Team as Coordinator for Co-Production and Engagement. I’ve worked for the Council as a Community Development Worker for many years and have had the privilege of working with a fair number of community groups over that time. I facilitate a positive mental health network, which I enjoy. The network has co-produced several initiatives, the Postcards from Wakefield project being one example. If you want to find out more, feel free to email me at tleach@wakefield.gov.uk

Afraid I lead a very boring and quiet life outside of work. My husband and I spend our free time in the slow lane on our narrowboat Esmeralda. It’s not all tranquillity, blue skies, and butterflies though. We have had a few hairy moments with our rescue dog Naughty Lily when she has fallen into the cut and got herself into a fix, but we do have lots of fun too and have met some extraordinary and lovely people on our journeys. I also spend time crafting but sadly have more enthusiasm than skill. I’ve spent many happy hours covering myself and Naughty Lily with glitter and glue, making nothing more than a mess, but it keeps us out of mischief.

I’m chuffed to be part of the Big Conversation as I’m chomping at the bit to get back to some semblance of normality. I feel ready now to get out and about and am looking forward to meeting people in person and not just spending my days sat a computer screen, which I have done for the past two years. The Big Conversation will make a positive difference to how we work and give people a chance to shape future services, so I’m very much looking forward to getting started.
