The Big Conversation is all about shaping the future of the Wakefield district.
In the summer of 2022, our trained Conversationalists had over 1,300 face-to-face conversations with people across the Wakefield District. Together we learnt what would make Wakefield an even better place to live, work and grow.
The results are now out!
The Big Conversation was not a consultation or survey. Instead, over 100 trained “conversationalists” listened to people, communities, and businesses to identify what already exists and already benefits the community, and what could make it even better. They used Appreciative Inquiry, a way of speaking to people that focuses on what’s strong, not what’s wrong.
The report highlights The Big Conversation journey, delves into the Appreciative Inquiry theory and most importantly celebrates what you love about the district and reveals your aspirations for the future.
